Niagara USA Discovery Pass

The Niagara State Park USA offers day pass for the Niagara Falls Adventures - Niagara USA Discovery Pass.
Important - This pass is avaibable inside the Niagara State Park. I would recommed the visitors to buy this pass. The pass is the best and cheapest option available to enjoy all the attractions offered at the Niagara State Park. Once you buy this pass they will give you wrist band which allows you entry to all the attractions. At the entrance of the attraction there is a special Queue for the Pass holders and you can skip the long queues for individual ticket Queue. This seriously save considerable amount of time. The pass also allows you to use the Niagara Scenic Trolley – A local park bus to commute between the different tourist destinations inside the Park.

Beware of the many private tour operators and private vendors outside the Niagara State Park who claim that they are the official park attaction ticket vendors. These vendors charge you double the amount of the Niagara State Park. They put on hoarding in front of the Car parks outside the park which say that they sell the official Niagara Pass and one does get fooled easily.

Fireworks Niagara

There is a fireworks show in the evening at the Nigara falls on Friday, Sunday and Holiday. So when you are planning a trip to Niagara its worth keeping that in mind. The show takes place above the Waterfall in open space. So there are no seats or an auditorium for this event. Spectators try to reach the venue early to grab the best view locations on first come first basis. We reached the hotel at around 3 o clock in noon. After a quick nap, we were refreshed and all prepared for the evening extravaganza. We parked the car in parking lot and reached the venue. There are no tickets or entrance fee to go and see the waterfall and the firework show. The fireworks are accompained by colored light show. The waterfall looks beautiful as the colors of the lights changes and for a moment we both were lost in that world. After the show was over, we headed straight to the hotel and had sound sleep.

Accomodation Tips, Niagara

We had planned a three day trip to Niagara. I searched for the cheapest hotel rates and found a Marriots in the outskirts of the Niagara prime area. Abhi had received Marriots Gift cheques from Credit card loyality points and we decided to spend the cheques for this trip. The Courtyard hotel was offering rooms at 90 $ per day inclusive of continental breakfast facility. One needs to pay toll of 6 or 7 dollars to approach the Niagara Falls from the hotel. I was house wife at that time on H4 visa and was trying to save each and every cent. So the trip was carefully planned after a lot of rearch. The saving started from calling the resort and asking them for additional refrigerator in the room. I had cooked lot of Indian snacks and carried them to the trip. We breached the peak of cost cutting by even carrying the small microwave oven in the car. In this way, we saved almost 20 USD for each meal and also saved on the extra charge for kitchen facility in the hotel room. Over all it was saving of 150 USD. This was quiet bit of saving which could be used for next trip. :)

Niagara Falls, Buffalo, New York

Niagara Falls is the massive water fall on the international border of USA and Canada.
After our decision to leave the USA and move to UK, we decided to visit the one of the most important and sorted after tourist destinations. After staying in USA for 6 years, my husband had visited most of the tourist destinations. Luckily he had not seen Niagara. Therefore trip to Niagara was our first unseen tourist destination. It was also the first which I had planned for both of us. And so was the traidition in our family set up, for me to plan the trips. J. Since both of us were not Green card holders and had no visa for Canada we dicided to visit Niagara from US side. If you can manage entry in Canada, I would recommed you to go and visit Niagara - The Horseshoe water fall from Canada side.
