Walk along the York City Wall

York wall was built around the city of York in ancient times to protect the city from attacks of the enemies. The wall marked boundaries of the ancient York City. However nowadays, the city has spread and grown far beyond the boundaries of the wall. The Wall still remains prominent Landmark of the York city along with the York Munster.

Some parts of the wall still exist near the York station and then at backyard of the York Munster.
On bright sunny day it is an amazing experience to walk along the wall and explore the city.
It is one of the important tourist attractions of York. Access to the wall is free of charge. If you are keen in exploring the exterior of the York Munster then walking along the walk at backyard of the Munster is very good idea. One can get excellent views of the York Munster from the wall.

York Munster is one of the biggest Munster in England. It is elegant building made of stone.
